March will go down as a successful month on paper, but I feel like I left a lot on the table.
✅ Increase long run to 8 miles
I got to 8.2 miles on March 22, but the following week wasn’t so great as I got a really late start to my long run and had to travel on that Sunday. This past Saturday I had some calf issues and couldn’t even get to 8 miles a second time.
✅ Continue 100+ miles for the month
I just barely hit 100 miles of biking and running, but it’s done.
✅ Finish up spring yard work
I finished my major project and now comes the fun of maintaining and continued planting.
APRIL GOALS
Finish the Blue Ridge Half Marathon
Getting to the start line will be a victory. I’m not sure if my body will let me finish.
Keep the 100+ miles streak going
I will be doing a lot of biking this month, so getting to a combined 100 miles for a fourth straight month shouldn’t be a problem. But this goal is still very new to me.
Refocus on the other things
This is about as broad as possible, but it is fitness related. I feel like I’ve been so off track for the past several weeks with my diet and other cross training, and I need to refocus like I did in January and early February.
