A week ago, I was ready to start over and start knocking things out, but then allergies and bad meds made me wait and quite literally knocked me out for a few days.
As the calendar gets ready to flip to June, I feel like this endless spiral of bad things and excuses has no end, so I’m hoping this new effort will put a stop to it.
Instead of jumping on a running streak bandwagon, I’m creating my own thing from Memorial Day to July 4th: 36 straight days of running at least a mile AND doing at least one other thing that involves the number 36 … #36daysofsomething is good enough for me.
My main goal is to get running back on track; my secondary goal is to develop a cross training routine that betters my overall fitness.
Today was a simple couple of miles running followed by 36 calf raises and 36 push-ups.
I may not get a chance to blog every day, but I will play catch up here to post what is happening. If you’d like to join in, you’re more than welcome to.
And speaking of the number 36, that’s pretty good song …
