February was, in one simple word, successful.
I ran more than in January and I continued lifting weights 2-3 times a week. My weight pretty much maintained – I could’ve and should’ve eaten better, but it certainly wasn’t a disaster as I still have a net loss for the year of 5 pounds.
A few highlights …
Run-weights-run is my new favorite workout. It's such a great feeling to be injury free and combine workouts I learned while injured. #RunChat #crosstraining

I’m now really looking forward to March.
In the past two-plus years, I have not had four straight months of increase in mileage, and after maintaining my patience and running pain-free since Dec. 1, continuing my streak into March will be a major milestone.
My running miles since starting over on Dec. 1 have been:
- December: 14.9
- January: 31.5
- February: 43.7
In February, I got much more comfortable with runs of 2-3 miles and hit 4 miles a couple of times. In March, I’d like to focus on having 3-4 miles feel “normal” again, and get to 5 miles by the end of the month.
Let’s do this!
