Later this month I am returning to a newsroom in an editing position that feels like THE perfect position for me. It mixes together so many different things from my career, yet it’s something that will be brand new as it ventures over to the TV side of journalism.
As usual with this blog, I won’t get into too many details about that aspect of my life, but I am excited about the changes that await me professionally in early 2016.
The change renews the spark I’ve had about running in the past couple of months as well. When multiple things click just right, everything seems to fall into the right place.
That said, if I’m going to get a PR in the Shamrock Half Marathon in March, I have to make sure that my running schedule fits well with my new work routine. I’m going to venture into “official” Shamrock training next week, complete with a spreadsheet of planned and actual runs, along with notes so that I adjust as needed.
That means that over the next few days I am going to solidify my ideas and set up a plan through January. It’s the first time I’ve done this for Shamrock in a few years and can’t wait to tackle these next few months.
