Disclaimer: Runner’s World is supplying me with an entry to the 2015 Runner’s World Festival presented by Altra. All thoughts are my own.
I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do. I’ve neglected my blog way too much this year for a wide variety of reasons, but I make no apologies for that. Things happen. Life gets in the way sometimes.
That said, I do have every intention of blogging more — I have to make sure I carve out time to get back on a schedule. I doubt I’ll ever get back to posting 3-4 times a week regularly, but I am starting to feel the “need” to blog more.
One reason I haven’t blogged as much is that I haven’t been all that excited about running in the past few months. After a lackluster Shamrock Half in March, my running was pretty bad. I felt like I was running just to run — that was fun for a few weeks, but when I continued without a goal, I started feeling lost while going through the motions.
That is all changing, though, as I feel rejuvenated being invited back to the Runner’s World Festival in October in Pennsylvania. It wasn’t an easy decision to make — my 15th college reunion is the same weekend — but I was feeling like I HAD to go. Two years ago it was a place that made me fall back in love with running … a feeling I need to get back.
I’ll write more in the coming weeks about my plans and goals for that weekend. If you’d like to sign up, use code blogrunningbecauseican to get a discount! Visit rwhalf.com for more information. It’ll be one of the best weekends of your running life.
