10 + wind = ?

Last week’s 14-mile run was nearly perfect; today I was scaling things back a bit mileage wise, but my morning 10 miler has left me dragging this afternoon.
It wasn’t really that bad of a run, but any time I felt like I was getting a groove, I’d get knocked around by a 30 mph gust. To add to that, there were snow flurries.

All this is after a day of record highs and a tornado watch for about 4 hours.

If this past week’s extremely wacky weather hasn’t prepared me for the Shamrock Half, I don’t know what will.

I'm not sure I'd go out and face 30 mph wind gusts, I'm kind of a wimp. You did say after Baltimore Marathon that you wanted to do more wind training, so you got what you wished for really.

As much as it may seem like I'm complaining about the wind, I'm grateful for the opportunity. Should Shamrock be windy, I can't use that as an excuse. Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
