So long, snowman

Presidents Day weekend snow, Virginia
It was truly only winter for a dayon Sunday. This afternoon, though, a small part of my son’s first snowman was surprisingly still around, thanks to being strategically placed in the shade.

That’s after some hard rain last night and a high of 70 day. Yes, 70. Just 4 days after more than a half a foot of snow.

It’s made for a tough week of running. The day before the snow it was in the low 60s. Tuesday was a bit colder than I expected, but it was still around 40. By the time I ran tonight it was in the low 60s.

Who knows what Shamrock will bring — my first one was in the upper 20s, two years ago was about 30 degrees warmer. I guess I’ll be prepared for whatever Mother Nature wants to throw at me.
